I too only have AKC and would only buy AKC. I heard about one person that was able to register their found off the streets dog (looked like a yorkie) with CKC (Continental). They just had to send in 2 photos and a paragraph stating why they thought it was full blooded. No proof what so ever, no parents know.... how crazy.
Great advice - Always throughly check out your breeder before buying, check out their guarantees, be sure to have a contract where everything is written out, check their home and parents of pups.
