If it has been over a year, I would most definitely have it done.
Preop bloodwork is not a gimmick. It's a safety precaution.
A human would not be put under general anesthesia without it, so why should animals be any different. Chances are that it will come back normal, but sometimes things are caught and really thorough vets do bile acids testing too which catches even more in Yorkies.
