American Pet Registry. Started by Breeders. In my opinion, used only when a Breeder can't comply with AKC rules or regulations. Many Breeders, (if not most) that use any registration other than AKC have been suspended from AKC for breaking breeding regulations. Most use the excuse that AKC is too expensive, yet it is only $25.00 per litter and $2.00 per pup to register a litter. Then sell for $100's or $1000's per puppy. Doesn't make much sense to me.
