Sorry still don't get it. First of all I have 3 yorkies and none of them has ever had their ear hair plucked out. I have it cut with the scissors.
Second. What if it was your puppy???
I think a more neighborly thing to do was to say that she had a yorkie too and if mom wants to talk she should stop by.
