Thank you - that is the impression I was under after reading also - that's why I was a little confused by my vet's attitude, but I too wanted to have her spayed before her first heat. My vet is not good at answering questions - she gets a little rushed, putting it nicely. I could almost hear her "sigh" when I said - "well, I read......." yada, yada......
What's a mother to do????
