I can really relate. I also lost my yorkie recently and I adopted a new puppy this week. I can only tell you that although I still miss Gertie very much, the pain is certainly less with a new "baby" to give me kisses and occupy my time at home. Take care of yourself and as I was advised so often on this sight, your heart will tell you when you are ready and just the right pet will be sent to help you heal.
