Turns out my dad, who is going on 90 and way beyond the IRS statute of limitations used to always deduct vet bills on the income tax. I asked him one time, years ago about deductions and he casually stated, that vets had doctor in front of their names and the bills had doctor names and clinics on them and the medications and diagnosis all sounded good, sooo worked for him, it was all medical, wasn't it? He just lumped it all in with all of us kid's medical bills.. I was shocked....then I laughed....
