Just a couple of hints, as you can see in this picture, the arrow points to several options, and changing these when making your avatar gives you different results, you may know this, but lots of people overlook it.
Below is the PSP program, and here is where you find animation shop, it gives you many more options, such as setting individual frame times, and frame sizes, and making some of the avatar transparent.
