Allergies can be a tough thing to tackle. Sometimes it's not about the food but about the environment. This means that wall-to-wall carpeting, dust and things like grass can aggravate and cause itchiness. My dog Biscuit has this problem. Sometimes he can't really go outside and be in the grass because he might come down with a bacterial skin infection from all the scratching. It's very hot and humid where we live, so the weather might also be something to consider.

For now we've switched him to Natural Balance to see if that might help him. Like others have said, it'll take a while before you start to see improvements on a new food. I've also been wanting to get some skin scrapings to determine what exactly is going on, so that's also something you can look into.

I hope you're able to manage the itchiness. It's tough watching them scratch so much.
