I am one of those who does believe in neuter/spay. My vet, Dr. Bobby Daniell at Villa Rica Animal Hosp., has done this procedure on some of my pups as small as 2 lbs and I've never had a problem with any of them. I know that with any medical procedure there is a possibility of problems so there is that caveat but I know of too many people that didn't neuter their males and they died from getting hit by a car when they ran out "for no reason". These boys can smell a dog in heat a long distance away so I think that's a bigger risk than the surgery. |
