You mentioned that you were "cleaning it off". Are you doing this by means of washing it?
Yeast is a fungal, which means it grows in high moisture areas. If you are cleaning this off by means of water, you are accentuating the problem. Just use the antifungal cream , I am assuming that they vet gave you, and keep the area dry. That should eliminate the environment that is encouraging its growth. Hope this helps.
