I am really worried so that you so much for the support, I really appreciate it.
I was quoted between 350-450 for pricing.. does that sound normal? |
Wow! That seems to be VERY high!

I have never heard of anyone being put onto a morphine patch after surgery just a pill and only for a day or so.

To tell you the truth after the first day my boys wee fine and I didn't have to give any type of pain pills to them. When I had Pebbles spayed she was in a little more pain and I believe she had a few days of pain pills but I cannot remember what they were.
If you are planning on having him microchipped it is a very good idea to have it done at the time of the neuter. I totally forgot to ask about it when I had Dbug and Bog done but I highly recommend getting the chipping.
At our local PAWS, they have spay and neuter program and the certificate is only $65. My vet was on that list so I purchased the certificates through PAWS and then made my appointment with my vet. It is the exact same surgery, same gas, and best of all it was my own vet that did the procedure. If you are checking around anyway and have not settled on a vet you might want to check into Spay/Neuter programs in your area. Even if you purchase just the ceritficate and you pay for the extra blood work and pain meds I'm sure you would be able to save a significant amount of money. There are a lot of very wonderful vets out there that support rescue and Spay/Neuter programs that work with progams like mine does.
