How tragic...I'm so sorry to hear about your Tootsie. I can't imagine what you must be feeling. Please know that you might just be ready for that new pup now. Don't think for a minute you'd be doing Toosie injustice or even replacing her...because that just isn't possible. All I can say, is 2 weeks before we put our beloved Chewy down (9/10/09), we got Patch (5 mo pup) and he really brought alot of love, life, and light into our lives at a time when I honestly and truly didn't know how I could go on. My husband was afraid I might hurt myself as Chewy was my world for so many years before I met my husband. Chewy was my little soulmate and went everywhere and did everything with me. Anyway, I've done much better than expected as Patch let me see the positive side of life instead of only dwelling the extreme loss of my forever friend/dog...Chewy. I'd seriously consider getting another now, if I were you. Think about it and take care of yourself.
