I'm so sorry for your loss, but it sounds like you gave it much time a thought before you sent him home to heaven...that should bring you peace at such a sad time. I also want to say that getting another furbaby is a very smart idea. I too lost my Chewy last month. I sent him home to heaven on Sept. 10th. He had neuro issues and was spinning in circles for a whole year. He also had other issues, which I won't go into. We did get a new little one 2 weeks before he passed. Our new pup which we named "Patch" after Patch Adams has been such a light during such a sad time in our lives and seeing the contrast of this new happy pup compared to poor Chewy who could stand on his own and didn't even realize Patch was even there...it really confirmed our decision to send Chewy Home. We know we didn the right thing as we (like you) took much time and thought before making that decision. I just want to encourage you to find that new pup as he/she will pull you through this very difficult time. Make no mistake about it, he/she of course would never & could never replace your beloved Buddy...but Buddy I'm sure would want you continue his legacy with a new little one. I see Chewy in Patch so much and still cry for Chew as he will always be my forever dog. Good luck finding your new pup/dog. Keep your chin up and know you'll see your Buddy again in paradise! He's having a splendid time up there with my Chewy and all the other animals and people...I'm sure of it!!!!

Vet had him on prednisone for a couple of weeks along with all of the other meds he was constantly taking. She said that there was no hope, suspected neuro damage but to find out, was an MRI that cost a great deal of money..when your baby is paralyzed what good does spending another $3000 dollars do? Sometimes, I think vets are a racket these days. Anyway we are looking for another little one to light our lives up as we are both devastated. Any recommendations for breeders in AZ? No puppy mills or backyarders please...want a dog from a breeder who cares about the breed instead of money.
