I have been bitten by the Yorkie "Bug" and already looking to get another Yorkie puppy. (My family thinks I'm nuts!) I want our 4.5 month old male "Tigger" to have a buddy to grow up and play with. We are gone for several hours during the day and I think having two dogs would help in keeping each other company. I really want a "girl" puppy this time.

Some people say to wait at least a year or two until Tigger is completely trained and housetrained. Others say to raise them together while they are young. So many views...

Need your advice....When is the best time to get second Yorkie? Is it better to have the puppies closer in age or a few years apart? Is it alot more work with two Yorkies? Will they entertain each other or will it be twice the attention needed for playtime? Any difference in raising a male and female vs two males?

Any advice from the YorkieTalk members that have more than one Yorkie is truly appreciated.

Thanks Much.
