I have been seeing other breeds with burns like this and the girl at the shelter said she has as well. She said their vet said it might be a burn from being outside. Whatever did it, it looks just awful.
They bathed him and put a salve on it, so I do know they are trying. They also told me that as long as they know we are trying to place him, he will not be euthanized. Of course that is not forever, but at least for now he is safe.
