Love it!!! See how it's sharp in front and more blurry in back? I don't know what mode you're in but that look is caused by a wider aperture - and I LOVE wider aperture pics. I usually shoot in Aperture Priority mode - so, I choose the aperture, and the camera then adjusts shutter for me - but you have to think about light if you're not using flash in that situation.
You could also try "Portait" mode and that also may give you more "bokeh" (blurred background). FUN FUN FUN!!! Congrats on new toy!
