OMG! Glue trap stuck in FUR! HELP ME! Okay, so .. my mom has a couple of mousey critters who've found their way to her living room. She puts a couple of glue traps behind a door where she thinks they've been hiding out. The next morning, my Callie, being the little mouse hunter wannabe that she is, decides to pull the glue trap from UNDER the door with a mouse on it and gets it entangled in her fur! We got the glue trap and partially chewed mouse off of Callie, but the glue has remained. I don't know if you've ever seen these traps before, but they are STICKY! We tried a bath, but that just didn't work. We need something that will dissolve the glue - we don't want to shave off her beautiful coat. Actually, don't even think the clippers will cut through the glue mats. Help me! My dad (typical male with his manly workshop items) suggests using mineral spirits, but something just tells me that's not very safe for a doggie skin.
Thoughts??
Thanks!
