On Monday I had an HSG, which is where they force dye through your uterus and tubes to check for blockages, well OH MY GOD that was the most painful thing i have ever experienced in my life! I was screaming and crying I've never reacted to pain that way before. I was so sore and naseous yesterday and this morning I threw up but I think I'm ok now just really sore. But one of my tubes was blocked so they want to do an SHG now, which is where they force saline through and look at it with an ultra sound. The Dr. said it wont be as bad but she told me I would only experience mild cramping with the HSG which was a lie.

My question is is there any one that has had an HSG, SHG or preferably both that wouldn't mind sharing their stories with me. I'm so so scared to get the SHG done now I almost don't even want to get pregnant any more, yes it was that bad. Thanks guys!

You know my best friend has had many many problems trying to get pregnant...I remember her telling me about how they " force dye through your uterus and tubes to check for blockages," too!! She is really a nice person and she has been thru ALOT with the whole pregnancy thing too!! If you want I can give you her email and you can talk to her... She is really smart with all this stuff and she has pretty much been there and done that! I am sure she will love to talk to you and try to help you out...I have known her for about 15 years I have never been in this suitation and I know it really helps to talk to someone that has Just let me know if you want her email and I will give her a heads up and tell her that you will be emailing her..
