My boy Oscar had hair loss as well. After being tested for everything under the sun, the vet seems to be leaning toward vasculitis. It can cause hair loss as well as other problems. He's on a course of steroids now and I can actually see some hair growing back. He has a lot of scarring so some hair may never grow back but it's looking promising.
