Oh and btw, RucasMom, my Vet Derm told me that yorkies are much more prone to ringworm (this is a fungus, not a worm) than other breeds, just some genetic vulnerability there. You will not always see a "ring" in dogs, sometimes just a patch. The legs would kinda be an odd place for it to start, but you never know --- and the little red bumps sound like a bacterial infection to me like staph intermedius - but I guess the vet ruled that out by the smear? Usually in s.intermedius - he'd see a whole load of bacteria under scope.
