When sky nibbled me, I used to yelp loudly as if she had hurt me (she hadnt really), and immediately stop any interaction with her for about 10 seconds. She's careful with me now, its just i dont know how to stop her doing it to other people. Some puppies might think you are a really interesting squeaky toy though so if that seems to be encouraging her you might then have to stop the game altogether and leave the room if she nibbles.
I think though you need to observe them first and work out why they are biting. With Sky its in play, however if she was biting in fear or from aggression I think I would need to find a different approach to stopping her. |
