My Bailey who is 6 months old use to try and eat my carpet too when he was around that age, actually he would try to chew whatever he could
He is getting better as he gets older, but I still have to watch him. Just keep your eye on your little one, if you see her eating something she shouldn't, be sure to scorn her so she knows it isn't something she should be doing..they learn..eventually!
