Hello...we have had our little Isabella for a year now, she is 4 years old. We adopted her and started her right out crating her at night as she wasn't potty trained when we got her. After a few months of this she started crying in her crate and because it was out of the ordinary I got her out to go out to the bathroom but of course started a bad habit! Now she doesn't go in the crate at all anymore and goes to sleep without a problem in bed with us. The problem is that she wakes up in the night and whines until I get up. She doesn't want to go outside though she usually wants me to lay on the couch with her! If I do she is fine and goes back to sleep without a problem. If I try to ignore her though she pesters and whines and wakes up my kids or husband...ugh. Any advice on how to rectify the situation? I'm sick of getting up every night and going to the couch just so we can get some sleep. I think we have just formed a bad habit and I don't know how to nip it.
