Can be super scary and ruin a great stud.... We put it in our contract that female's using our stud service must be tested for several issues prior to breeding each and every time.... You never really know even if someone tells you the bitch hasn't been bred recently or in a situation where something can be picked up, so I take no chances with my little fella... I also manage two other studs and require it for those two guys as well... I don't know how much the test is where ya'll are as it is fairly inexpensive here....
