To the original poster. I'm so very sorry this happened to you. I wish I had some sound advice to give you. Hopefully another poster will. It absolutley breaks my heart to think of your little girl having her heart broken
Perhaps if this does not work out, you could consider a rescue dog. I know that's not what you had your heart set on, but sometimes these things work out the way they are supposed to. good luck to you.
