Gus was doing the same thing and I finally realized it was the mornings after I brushed his teeth (I know, I'm bad - I wasn't brushing every day). It was the dog toothpaste. Since I've stopped he never throws up during the night. Not sure if that's the problem with Mr. Keeley but thought I'd put that out there for anyone having the same problem.
I haven't stopped brushing his teeth, just using toothpaste.
