Welcome to Yorkie Talk and congratulations on your new litter. The number of puppies in a litter can greatly vary from litter to litter but the number of pups your momma had sounds about normal. Usually, from my experience, the first litter is usually a little smaller than the following litters. As for having a still born, that really just depends on how hard a time the momma is having delivering the puppies. A large puppy or prolonged labor will increase the chances of a stillborn. How big is the momma?

Yorkie Talk also has a great breeders section where most people post questions pertaining to breeding.
