I'm very worried that I'm going to scare her so much that when she goes to the groomer she'll be afraid right off the bat. When I did get it trimmed (not what it's supposed to be but I did get some hair off) the one ear came up, but they are both needing them trimmed so bad I really don't know where to turn or just give up on the whole ear's being up thing. How do I get them shaved without terrifing her??? |
How old is Lily? If she is a baby baby...do not worry. Well, if she isn't a baby baby..don't worry either. It's just hair & it will grow quickly unless there is a medical issue. I've never seen leather ear on a young one. So relax...take control. Hold her FIRMLY. Talk soft, use treats and a table or a place like a counter or a washer or even a bench or stool..use the same place every time. Trim the hair...you are in control. I like to use a shirt with a pocket and have treats out that they can smell as I'm doing it...Always the same...One hand on/ one off...same always...Firmly. Be stern & loving. You will be fine!
