A savings account is a great idea....unfortunately I've never met anyone who has the discipline to do it, plus it takes literally years to put aside enough to cover for anything beyond minor Vet care. The other problem is after a few years there may be enough...then February hits and the vet fund starts looking a lot like a trip to Cancun
