Have you called the humane society and animal control... should be done right away.. was your baby microchipped.. if not you have no proof the dog belongs to you.. I am sorry if it was not done..
Make posters and post them everywhere you can imagine.. call vets and let them know in your area that you have lost a dog.. tell them as much as you can..
Ask neighbors to help you in finding your baby.. get the word out to everyone.. you did not say and age.. so cannot say if your baby will just find the way home..
People will pick up a yorkie and keep it if they think they can..
