I was under the impression that the bordatella was to be given only before going to the groomers or a kennel, and you get it a few weeks beforehand. This vaccine doesn't last a full year though - I think only like 3-6 months or something. I've never heard of getting a bordatella "booster." You're just supposed to get it within a month of being kenneled or groomed or something along those lines.
It's kind of like the human flu shot and I've heard of dogs actually getting kennel cough from the vaccine. |
