Doggy guilt is the worst!! A couple days ago I decided that I'd try to trim Sophie's nails myself. (You already see how this is going to end.) I got the clippers, got her snuggled in my lap, she innocently let me hold her little paw... and YYYYEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP Mommy cut into her nail quick on the first clip!
Poor baby, she was bleeding and crying and shaking... and wondering why her mommy would hurt her like that. As for me, I got the bleeding to stop pretty quickly, but I was crying because I felt so horrible. I actually phoned my mother (who has Sophie's sister) to confess the horrible thing I'd just done. Sophie got extra snuggles and her favorite treat. And I will NOT be trying to trim her nails myself ever again!!
