Supermarket foods aren't a good choice at all.. They have by-products... corn meals and things like that... So much bad and not enough good go into those bags. I would recommend going to a pet store if you have one around that sells super premium foods... I feed mine Merricks and my dogs love it. There are a lot of good ones out there... I definetly wouldnt recommend purina at all. Also watch out for what they preserve it with as it could be ethoxyquin... which could be harmful to dogs.
