I do something like this when I'm just doing a page, I open a few"customize profile pages in different windows, and then open up my home page on different tabs, and I can switch back and forth when I'm making a page, as long as I have those windows open, I can switch back and forth easily, and you are right, it helps you to decide which look you like best. However, you would have to keep the page open forever if you wanted to keep switching back to it. I have kept it open a couple of days when I was working on the page, on and off, but that's the longest I've ever kept it open. You can't save them in the favorites folder, only the newest one saves.
