Each dog is different, male or female. I have two females and one is dominant with other dogs but definately the cuddliest of the two. The other one is submissive with other dogs but independent when it comes to affection. I think boys are the same way. Either one is great. I have to say I don't miss the leg lifting but that's a thing of the past because I now have an 8 week old male puppy. They're all great!
