My poodle was taking Synovg3 after she blew out her knee and needed surgery. (She jumped from a bed and that was it) It worked wonders and we did put her on a very strick diet to lose 3 lbs. It's been four years and she's doing well. Taking the weight off is a big factor along with a regular fitness program (a simple walk for her) to strengthen the ligaments around the knee. My Great Pyrenees is bo-legged and his knee will pop out when he's excited and moving to fast. The surgeon told us to watch his weight, get a regular exercise program for him, give him glucossamine and fish oil daily and see how he does without surgery. It's been almost a year since and he's doing great! Hardly pops the knee out at all. |
