If you are worried about hurting her, just have a groomer do it for you. the best way with pups is have someone hold her and you shave it. It needs to be taken off completely with a 40 blade. Some do come up on their own, but don't count on it. There are a lot of flop eared yorkies out there. The best thing is to keep the weight off the ear by shaving for the first year. It takes time for puppy cartlidge to strengthen. I usually tape by 8 weeks if they are not up and I also show the new owners how to do it also in case it flops again (which it can when teething). Get control of the pup and don't let it tell you what you can do to it and what you cannot. If you are not hurting her, get her used to brushing and combing like it or not. Yorkies are terriers and they have terrier personalities. They will run you if you let them. Make sure when you tape that you tape them straight up starting at the base. The vet can usually show you how.

I really think it'll come up on it's own, since the one did and it's "wanting" too but I'm going to help it along.
How do you "shave" their hair when they absolutely HATE it????
