We have a clip, but it always falls off. Some people have mentioned those rubber bands that are used in braces. I can probably get some of those, but what do I do with it? Pull the hair into a bunch, band it, then put the clip on???

Thats not a dilemma--its an emergency!!! it might just be easier to make a stop at the groomer and let them do it.
