Default Benefit of pediatric spaying..

Amazing the things I learn. I wouldn't consider this on my yorkies due to their already dimunuitive size. However, I did have this done on my cats. I know that shelters do it because then there is no issue with the new owners 'dropping the ball'. My cats were foundlings and I had read up on the subject and believed that it was less traumatic and healing was quicker the younger they were, kind of like circumsion on baby boys. I fought to find a vet to do pediatric neuters when they were 8wks old. It went beautifully. Your post on the long bones would explain the phenomenon with Buster, especially. Both of our cats are beautiful. He however, is extraordinary. He is lean, lanky and looooong. Almost 15lbs, 100% muscle. A black and white tuxedo cat. He can stand on the floor and put his paws directly onto the top of the kitchen counter. Now we have an idea where this amazing length may have come from. YT as a forum just rocks!
