Happy Birthday Dear Jackie

The years have gone by so fast and seem too few,
Fourty Eight years ago God Blessed our lives with you.

So precious you were on the Sunday you were born,
Named after your Daddy and Dae for that blessed morn.

Hardest of all was not being able to hold you,
A crisis came for Mama and God had much to do.

Daddy was told Mama might not make it after your birth,
Mama prayed not to leave you pleading with God to let her remain here on earth.

Nothing seemed to change and things only got worse,
The crisis was that which seemed like a curse.

Oh Dear God, Mama cried out loud,
Don’t take me now shouting loudly, like lost in a crowd.

Then all of a sudden Mama said with no fear,
God I am yours and one that you hold Dear.

At that very moment surrendering my all,
God spoke to me gently and came at my beacon call.

He said, my dear one, I love you, and want you to stay,
Loving your husband and needed by your family each and every day.

I cherish my memories of you Dear Daughter through the years,
Happy times and those times of shedding together tears.

A grateful heart to God above, sparing my life, giving me the chance,
Being the wife and Mother to you and my family has made my heart dance.

Thank you God for all that you are,
Your forever daily with us and never afar.

Happy Birthday Jackie and so many more,
Many Blessings in life God has for you in store.

Wherever you travel or whatever you do,
I’ll forever be proud of you.
