it probably has something to do with her knees. the vet will need to check out her. Lots of little dogs have luxating patellas which can cause them to walk funny. some dogs will walk totally normal and every now and then will kick a back leg out behind them because their knee slipped out of place. some dogs have LP in both legs and its so bad that it causes them to walk with their knees kinda pointing outward. I fostered a Chi with a problem like this. She constantly looked like she was going to poop because her knees were bent outward and her back was hunched a little.

Luxating patellas is a common problem and surgery is required to fix it once it gets bad enough to cause pain and/or discomfort. The Chi i had didn't look like she was in pain either but her knees were so bad and she was so young (9 months) the vet figured she was born like that and was used to the pain. some dogs just deal with it and don't show pain.
