You are very lucky to have a new man in your life who wants to make you happy. On one hand, it's a good thing that you want to wait until after the holidays (which can be so stressful for humans, let alone our furbabies!) and after you move.

On the other hand, I would find it very difficult to be without a pup.

You were very kind to think of the dogs when you split up. The dogs form bonds and relationships, too. They are children like that. It would have been very hard on the dogs to split them up too - just because the humans didn't agree anymore. They already have to adjust to the loss of you and the normal routine of the house - to lose each other would have been very bad, especially for Zorro.

I know you miss Snickers, but you did a good thing. Will your ex let you visit, or take the dogs for a walk? Maybe when you get the new puppy, he will let them play?
