That was an automatic at my Vet's first visit with Lexy since she was only 1lb and already 14 weeks she made me come home with a tube of nutrical to have on hand. I think it's better too then corn syrup because its more of a gel then syrup and I have it where it's immediately accessible to just squeeze out of a tube and my kids know they can go grap it on an emergency for me and know how to give it. She was never been diagnosed with anything to require it but when she would get sluggish I never wanted to take chances so I gave her some and called my Vet...most cases she was fine later. I give Carly some now that shes prego about one dose a week, just to make sure she is getting the proper nutrients since all it's just a vitamin, I leave our food out all day in an automatic feeder so I don't keep track how much or when they eat...they eat when hungry.
