Driving ANYWHERE near Altlanta during typical AM/PM rush hours is a nightmare! During mid day and around the 7 PM hours, the interstates can get a bit busy, but the traffic still flows pretty fast. (Def NOT the case here in B'ham.) Several friends in ATL said most of the flooding is on the western edge of the city and that I-20 and 285 are the ones that have been closing on and off.
I know that Six Flags is flooded right now (and that's on the eastern side just outside of downtown).
Any particular section of the city you are wondering about...I can always call and ask them specifics for you? They live in downtown metro ATL...
