Since getting my 16 mo. old Murphy when he was 12 weeks old, he has always been trained for the piddle pad. I live in NW Pennsylvania and would never consider letting him out to do his business, especially in the winter. Aside from the cold, he'd get ice balls all tangled up in his hair, I know that because my sister had one that that happened to.

He's pretty much trained to go on the pad...but he still has his moments when he pees beside the pad or goes #2 on the floor beside the pad. We just can't find a reason why he pees on our top bed spread while we're at work during the day.
