Yorkies don't need their whiskers for balance, and when they are all wet, in the bath is the best time to find 'em, and trim 'em! I trim mine, cuz their faces are softer, when you get "yorked" (nuzzled)
You did fine, and mine don't seem to grow them back very fast, so maybe they were soft, or not grown out yet when you saw them!
