It will be hard to find a cotton coat since that is what most breeders try to eliminate in their stock. If you plan on keeping a puppy cut, I have seen a number of champions cut down after retirement in the puppy cut and they are cute and puppyish (even at 10 or 11 years old). The difference between silk and cottony would not be as noticeable with a cut down... you might want to consider getting the best possible pet Yorkie you can from a reliable breeder. I know someone in Ct and she would be worth the drive. Good luck!
