I can't remember the exact size of the wire crate I use...I think it is 22" though. Anyway, we got it for Chloe to stay in during the day while I am at work. (I come home at lunch to let her out.) It has been great for us. She doesn't go to the bathroom in it, but she has more room to move around than in the other crate. She does sleep through the night in her plastic crate and doesn't seem to have any trouble. She stretches a lot when she wakes up whether she's been sleeping in a crate or in her bed!

I wish we had enough room for one of the x-pens, but we live in a one bedroom apartment so my only option would be to put the x-pen on the balcony. I won't risk having Chloe disappear just to give her some extra room...and as she's only 5 months old, I can't trust her in the house by herself yet.
