How big is your pup? Are you using a harness or a collar with the leash? Some Yorkies are very sensitive to something on their necks. As far as practice, put the leash on and let puppy drag it around a little ONLY IF YOU CAN SUPERVISE though. They just aren't used to it yet. It takes a while. Good luck!
